Job summary

Western National Parks is seeking a Full-Time Outreach Coordinator to support regional and local outreach programs in Tucson and Southern Arizona. The role includes planning events, coordinating logistics, and building partnerships with park partners and community organizations to connect audiences with public lands.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of related experience, with strong planning, communication, and data-tracking skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 2 years’ experience in implementing or coordinating education programs, community outreach activities, events, or related work.
• Experience with nonprofit organizations or public lands agencies is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting tools (e.g., Zoom).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement outreach activities and community events in the Tucson and Southern Arizona area.
• Develop and distribute promotional materials, newsletters, and program listings.
• Plan event logistics including scheduling, supplies, and on‑site operations.
• Maintain partnerships with community organizations and park partners.
• Support volunteer recruitment, scheduling, training coordination, and data tracking.
