Job summary

OC Goes Solar in Irvine, California, is hiring a Community Outreach & Communications Manager/Director for a full‑time hybrid role. You will lead outreach, communications, and partnerships for Solarize–Electrify programs while engaging diverse communities and stakeholders throughout Orange County.

The position emphasizes workshops, content creation, and event representation, with a mission to expand access to clean-energy options for underserved communities. Remote‑friendly but locally based.

Qualifications

• Experience in community outreach, communications, partnership development, or related areas.
• Ability to build trusted relationships across diverse communities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Proven organizational and project-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement outreach, communications, and community-engagement strategies.
• Build partnerships with local governments, schools, businesses, utilities, and community organizations.
• Plan and lead workshops, community meetings, tabling events, and educational activities.
• Represent OC Goes Solar at conferences, public meetings, career fairs, and community events.
• Create clear, engaging content for newsletters, social media, presentations, and the OCGS website.
• Coordinate program activities, timelines, budgets, partners, and team workflows.
• Track participation, partnerships, and program outcomes; prepare reports.
• Gather community feedback and identify opportunities to expand OCGS programs and impact.
• Help residents and partners connect with clean-energy information, programs, incentives, and resources.
