Job summary

Wills Group is seeking a Community Engagement and Communications Specialist to help plan, coordinate and execute community programs across the Mid-Atlantic region. You’ll work under the Senior Manager of Corporate Communications and Community Engagement to advance community impact and business priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, public relations, marketing or journalism.
• 4+ years of experience in communications, community engagement, event coordination or nonprofit administration.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and strong customer/community relations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day Community Engagement initiatives and ensure projects stay on track.
• Oversee the Community Impact Committee (CIC) onboarding and guidance.
• Schedule CIC/CLT meetings, agendas, materials and follow-up actions.
• Maintain engagement calendars, partner directories and program documentation.
• Support administration of grants, volunteer initiatives and philanthropic activities.
• Serve as primary contact for nonprofit partners, volunteers and internal stakeholders.
• Draft internal and external communications for community initiatives and partnerships.
• Coordinate content for newsletters, blogs and employee communications.
• Collect photos, videos and stories to support storytelling and impact reporting.
• Maintain databases, donation tracking, and grant files; assist with annual reports.
• Coordinate invoices, purchase requests and sponsorship documentation.
• Provide regular status updates on timelines to leadership and collaborate to meet goals.
