Job summary

Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast are seeking a Commissioning Art Director for a 12-month, hybrid assignment in the United States. You will identify and direct freelance illustrators, translate IP references into style guides, and ensure high-quality print-ready outputs for Universes Beyond.

The role requires 2+ years in commercial art, a cinematic portfolio, strong communication, and a passion for pop culture. Proficiency in Photoshop and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial art experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong cinematic vision.
• Passion for pop culture and current entertainment trends.
• Understanding of Magic as a game and brand.
• Knowledge of current fantasy illustration market and print techniques.

Responsibilities

• Commission a high volume of artwork by identifying freelance illustrators and providing art direction.
• Research partner IPs, translate references into style guides, and art direct to external brands’ specifications.
• Review print-ready files to ensure final card quality.
