Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Boston is seeking a Commercial Strategy Associate Director to develop and implement commercial strategies for assigned therapeutic areas, working with the leadership team to understand the market and position Vertex effectively.

The role coordinates with physicians, treatment centers, patient groups and government stakeholders, leads cross-functional teams, and guides onboarding of new business lines to ensure a seamless patient journey and strong brand performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Extensive Biotech/Pharma or medical technology environment experience (Key Account Management/Sales, Reimbursement Management, Medical Affairs, Market Access, etc.).
• Therapeutic area experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategy for therapeutic areas, aligned with Commercial strategic objectives.
• Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of key physicians, treatment centers, patient associations and government stakeholders.
• Ensuring all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, revenue, cost, volume, and efficiency targets.
• Leads the engagement with cross-functional teams and is the main contact with multiple external stakeholders.
• Defines onboarding strategy and coordinates activation for all therapeutic areas within scope.
