Job summary

Duke Primary Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the Patient Engagement Center in Durham, NC. The hybrid on-site/remote role supports a high-volume call center serving diverse patient needs with a commitment to compassionate care.

Eligibility includes CMA certification and a likelihood of remote work after a 90-day probation period if performance metrics are met. Regular hours are 8am–5pm, with a $7,500 commitment bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to lift items and assist patients with transportation.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and basic clinic safety.

Responsibilities

• Clinical: collect histories, monitor vitals, prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Administrative: greet patients, schedule appointments, manage billing tasks.
