Job summary

Qualifications

• Must observe, document, and communicate lab-related issues with independent judgment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Certification CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA is required.
• Two years direct patient care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and universal precautions preferred.
• Experience acquiring and processing lab specimens preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluation and care of patients.
• Manage the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and related tasks.
• Process prescription refill requests.
• Perform lab/phlebotomy duties during clinic hours.
• Communicate medical results to patients and coordinate with providers.
• Support clinic policies, HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Prepare supplies and equipment for examinations.
