Job summary

Swoop Technologies is hiring for a hybrid Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure team. The role focuses on automating deployments, provisioning resources, and ensuring secure, scalable cloud environments across on-prem, AWS, and other cloud providers.

You will collaborate with security engineers and client teams to maintain compliance with NIST and STIG controls, while refining Terraform scripts and GitLab CI/CD configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience in CS or related field.
• 3+ years in cloud provisioning and management.
• Understanding of CI/CD configuration and buildout (e.g., gitlab.yaml).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting; Linux/Windows knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build automation around monitoring of cloud resource health and usage.
• Ensure cloud apps meet security standards (NIST, STIG).
• Automate cloud provisioning with Terraform and Ansible.
• Streamline deployment, run, and test processes in cloud environments.
• Scale cloud and orchestration mechanisms for performance and efficiency.
• Support updates to client installations and monitor resources.
