Job summary

Patient First is seeking a Security Engineer II to strengthen cloud-native security across Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. The role combines security operations, vulnerability management, logging, auditing, firewall/EDR/SIEM support, and compliance reporting with future-state duties for Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, and centralized governance.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years in cybersecurity, security operations, cloud security, or hybrid infrastructure security.
• Experience with Azure security services and Defender for Cloud; familiarity with SIEM/SOAR, DLP, EDR, and posture management tools.
• Solid understanding of vulnerability management, logging, alerting, incident response, and compliance evidence expectations.
• Knowledge of Windows/Linux hybrid environments, networking, firewalls, SaaS/PaaS/IaaS security, and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• Implement Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, security baselines, and cloud posture recommendations.
• Configure RBAC, Conditional Access, privileged access, and identity governance in Azure and Microsoft 365.
• Maintain centralized logging, alerting, and monitoring pipelines for cloud workloads and incidents.
• Support security gates in deployment workflows and policy validation, access review, and exception management.
• Provide security input during architecture reviews and production go-live readiness.
