Motion Recruitment is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer in a hybrid Boston-area role. You will design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure and applications, conduct security assessments, and drive risk analyses.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of information security/cloud security experience.
• Experience securing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong IAM/network security and cloud-native controls knowledge.
• IaC security practices using Terraform/CloudFormation or similar.
• Kubernetes security knowledge.
• Vulnerability management, threat detection, and IR processes.
• Familiarity with SIEM/EDR and cloud monitoring tools.
• Scripting/automation with Python/PowerShell/Bash.
• Knowledge of NIST/CIS ISO 27001/SOC 2 frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across cloud infrastructure and apps.
• Conduct security assessments, architecture reviews, and risk analyses.
• Monitor cloud environments for threats and vulnerabilities.
• Improve IAM governance and access controls.
• Collaborate with engineering to secure pipelines and deployments.
