Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Architect to design, implement, and operate security across Azure, AWS, and GCP. The role ensures secure, compliant cloud deployments and governance, reporting to Information Security leadership.

The incumbent must reside in the DFW area with weekly office presence. You will lead strategic initiatives, evaluate tools like CSPM and CASB, mentor teams, and collaborate across IT groups to strengthen the organization’s cloud security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• 5 years designing, securing, and implementing solutions in at least two of Azure, AWS, GCP.
• 2 years in an architect role with managing large cloud environments.
• Certifications: CISSP or Cloud security certification (CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer) Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain secure cloud architecture standards for Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure design and implementation.
• Integrate security into solution architectures and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Engage with senior leadership, compliance, and stakeholders to align cloud security with goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lead security reviews and risk assessments for cloud deployments.
