Job summary

Gifthealth is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across our cloud infrastructure and cloud-native environments. You will collaborate with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Software Engineering, IAM, and Security teams to establish secure cloud architectures and automated guardrails.

We expect 3+ years in cloud/security roles; strong AWS/Heroku, Snowflake, and BigQuery experience is valued.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience securing environments in at least one major public cloud platform.
Not required licensure; relevant AWS/cloud security certs are a plus.
3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud security, infra engineering, DevOps, or related field.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain security standards and reference architectures for cloud environments.
Identify insecure cloud configurations and excessive permissions; remediate findings.
Establish least-privilege access models and review roles, permissions, and service accounts.
Embed security requirements into infrastructure-as-code and build automated checks.
Support vulnerability management across cloud infrastructure and workloads.
Collaborate with Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Security teams to ensure secure cloud design.
