GRVTY is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineer in Maryland to lead cloud infrastructure improvements, automation, and integration of open-source code. You will deploy and manage Kubernetes-based services, write automation, and build scalable components in a hybrid environment with a strong team.

The role requires Linux proficiency, Python/Go coding, and security-conscious design. Hybrid work is available; some travel may be required to support office locations in Columbia, MD and San Antonio, TX.

Qualifications

• Experience with OS deployment and orchestration (kickstart, ansible, puppet, etc).
• Experience with deploying and managing Kubernetes (or vendor flavor).
• Experience with container (Docker/Podman) build tooling, Kubernetes automation tools (e.g. Helm, Kustomize, Flux CD, etc.).
• Experience with programming in Python or Go.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, and shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to operational applications.
• Be a strong systems integrator to enhance, optimize, or increase robustness of an existing code base.
• Define, build and manage virtual infrastructure in the cloud using IaC and modern tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
