Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale, CA, is hiring an Engineering Manager, Cloud Infrastructure to lead a Platform Engineering team responsible for the multi-cloud foundation across the company. You will shape the infra strategy, ensure quality, cost control, and security as Wayve scales.

The role requires 3+ years in engineering management, cloud experience at scale, and a strong focus on team growth and roadmapping. This is a full-time on-site position with hybrid collaboration expectations.

Qualifications

• Engineering leadership experience guiding software/devops teams.
• Ability to balance delivery with operational support and load.
• Focus on developing individual team members.
• Proven roadmapping, stakeholder mgmt and cross-team alignment.
• Hands-on cloud provider experience at scale (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar).
• Familiarity with Linux and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Engineering degree or higher in CS/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Platform Engineering team with company-wide impact.
• Own the cloud infra roadmap in collaboration with the tech lead.
• Ensure cost visibility and efficiency as usage grows.
• Partner with Security on governance and compliance.
• Balance resource needs with capacity and business priorities.
• Keep prioritization lean and processes efficient.
• Collaborate with leadership to foster a culture of impact.
• Recruit and grow the team to meet future needs.
