Job summary

Nortex Cyber Solutions is seeking a Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and secure cloud infrastructure supporting mission-critical applications in a hybrid Maryland-based role. You will build scalable, automated environments with IaC, Docker, and Kubernetes while improving deployment reliability and security.

The ideal candidate has 5–6 years in cloud environments, experience with Azure or AWS, and a track record of CI/CD automation, plus the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5–6 years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure and deployments preferred.
• Experience supporting production cloud environments.
• Experience supporting government or Department of Defense programs is preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
• Configure and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production issues.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application deployment and reliability.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for cloud environments.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity initiatives.
• Ensure cloud environments meet security and compliance requirements.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
