Job summary

SAIC seeks an experienced Cloud Engineer to join the CBC2 Lead Systems Integrator team. You will architect, implement, and maintain cloud solutions to support mission needs with a focus on secure, scalable platforms.

Hybrid role with onsite requirements at the Rosslyn, VA facility moving to Crystal City. Strong AWS, IaC, and container orchestration skills are essential, as is collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Active TS/SCI or SCI eligible

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy cloud-based solutions for customer-specific applications
• Develop and implement cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift, hybrid, re-platforming)
• Ensure architectural alignment with enterprise goals and security policies
• Configure and manage VMs, serverless, containers, and storage in hybrid environments
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools
• Monitor, optimize performance, cost, and security of cloud assets
• Design with a focus on security and compliance (FedRAMP, NIST, DoD)
• Manage IAM controls, RBAC, and threat detection tools
• Perform vulnerability and patch management for cloud resources
• Coordinate with DevOps and mission stakeholders for technical challenges
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer for smooth cloud adoption
• Deliver best practices to customers for cloud modernization
• Support cloud-native architectures and container workloads

Skills

Bachelor's degree in CS/IT
