Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Cloud/Integration Engineer in Charlotte, NC (hybrid schedule with three days in the office) to design, build, and support cloud-based integration and data transmission solutions using AWS and modern practices. You will implement IaC, CI/CD, and automation, modernize legacy MFT, and collaborate with security, network, and business teams to ensure secure, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, integration engineering, data transmission services, or related technology roles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support cloud-based integration and data transmission solutions using AWS services and modern engineering practices.
• Build and maintain secure, reliable data exchange capabilities for external partners and internal business applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration, transmission, and platform issues while communicating risks, recommendations, and outcomes to stakeholders.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and automation to improve deployment consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Modernize legacy MFT and batch-based solutions using cloud-native, API-driven, event-based, and serverless integration patterns.
• Partner with application, security, network, and business teams to define and implement integration architectures.
• Ensure solutions meet security, risk, compliance, monitoring, authentication, and encryption requirements.
• Contribute to architectural reviews, technical standards, documentation, runbooks, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in production support activities, including on-call rotations, to maintain the availability and stability of critical services.
• Provide technical guidance through design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting support, and knowledge-sharing activities.
