Populous is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our Global IT team in designing, implementing and maintaining scalable, secure cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments.

You will collaborate across time zones to support cloud migration, improve performance and enforce security best practices while leveraging the latest tools and technologies. Hybrid work model and ongoing certification support offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 5+ years with AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Hands-on cloud networking (VPC/VNets, subnets, DHCP/DNS).
• Experience configuring firewalls and security controls (Palo Alto, SGs, NACLs, NSGs).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., AWS CDK).
• Designing secure network connectivity (VPNs, private endpoints, hybrid networking).
• CI/CD tools experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
• Architect secure networks with VPCs, VNets, subnets and routing.
• Configure Palo Alto firewalls and security controls.
• Maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK) and review processes.
• Monitor performance, availability and security using cloud tools.
• Support cloud migration strategies and hybrid cloud architecture.
• Ensure secure connectivity (VPNs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute).
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment targets.
• Troubleshoot cloud, network and firewall issues.
• Assist deployment infra for web apps and on‑premises software distribution.
