Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and deliver cloud-native data products that transform ingestion, processing, and BI capabilities across enterprise teams. This hybrid role is based at the Philadelphia headquarters and requires local candidates willing to work onsite in a hybrid capacity.

You will own code across design, build, and production, influencing technical direction with engineers and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of software development experience in the data domain.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• ETL / ELT processes.
• Data modeling.
• Real-time streaming.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• GenAI integration or LLM pipelines preferred.
• Experience in food service, hospitality, or consumer-facing industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship high-performance, cloud-native data components used across Aramark’s teams.
• Build robust data ingestion frameworks that handle scale reliably.
• Architect and maintain synchronization between on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
• Develop scalable data processing pipelines enabling analytics and AI capabilities.
• Establish and enforce data engineering best practices.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the data engineering roadmap.
