Job summary

University of Pittsburgh is seeking an Education & Compliance Coordinator to monitor clinical research protocols, perform QA reviews, and conduct audits. The role includes educating the research community and preparing written reports for the PI and subcommittee.

Responsibilities include coordinating trainings, reviewing IRB materials, maintaining compliance databases, and ensuring adherence to all regulations and policies across university sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; minimum 2 years in research compliance or related field.
• BSN or MSN with prior human subject biomedical research experience or BS with applicable clinical trials experience is desirable.
• CCRC/CCRP/CIP certifications are desirable for the role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as regulatory liaison for clinical sites, coordinating centers, and data management centers.
• Coordinate investigator training sessions and compliance investigations; maintain compliance databases.
• Review IRB correspondence and ensure protocol adherence; assist with regulatory reviews.
• Perform audits and develop approval guidelines to ensure institutional compliance.
• Provide education to the research community through trainings and seminars.
• Attend Compliance Activity Review Subcommittee meetings and IRB committees as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal regulations and IRB policies.
