Job summary
Novant Health is seeking a Pharmacy Informaticist to leverage pharmacy expertise and informatics to enhance medication safety, optimize workflows, and support clinical decision-making through technology. The candidate will collaborate with IT and clinical staff to implement Epic enhancements, ensure compliance, and participate in go-live activities across multiple facilities in the South Carolina
Qualifications
- PharmD or equivalent degree required.
- Experience in pharmacy informatics or related field required; PGY2 preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in informatics tools and software.
Responsibilities
- Investigation: conduct investigations related to medication safety events and issues from frontline staff.
- Administration: coordinate stakeholder support for Epic enhancements and changes; complete approvals in ServiceNow; prioritize requests.
- Communication: create presentations for governance; facilitate incident resolutions between frontline staff and IT; submit changes in Epic with details.
- Testing: conduct testing in Epic for medication builds, alerts, OPAs, and enhancements.
- Education: prepare and coordinate educational materials for nursing, providers, and pharmacy staff.
- Go Live Support: provide on-site support during upgrades and go-live events.
- Collaboration: provide informatics input during meetings; identify informatics-related tasks and complete
