Job summary

RD Nutrition Consultants, LLC is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian for a part-time, hybrid role in California. The position offers 50% remote work with 1–2 onsite visits weekly, 24 hours per week, and compensation of $40.00–$45.00 per hour based on experience.

You will conduct nutritional assessments, develop care plans, educate patients, and collaborate with the care team while ensuring CMS/DOH compliance and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Current state licensure/certification (if mandated by the state).
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to assess objectives and develop plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments on admissions and quarterly thereafter.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and the care team.
• Ensure compliance with CMS/DOH regulations and maintain documentation.
• Monitor resident weight changes weekly/monthly.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits and document findings.
• Review and approve menus to meet USDA guidelines.
• Perform other tasks within scope of practice.
