Job summary

SHIELDS for Families is seeking a Clinical Coordinator/FPAS to oversee crisis intervention, intake assessments, and therapy notes for trauma-affected adults and families. The role coordinates services, monitors staff performance, and ensures HIPAA-compliant documentation across programs in South Los Angeles.

Hybrid work includes office, field, and home visits. The position requires a master’s degree (LMFT, LCSW, or licensed psychologist) and at least two years’ experience in a mental health

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or psychology and licensure (LMFT, LCSW or psychologist) required.
• Two years’ experience with individuals with mental illness in a social services setting.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention and supervise intake assessments.
• Oversee individual, family, and group therapy notes for adults and children.
• Coordinate linkages to community resources and monitor staff work.
• Lead staff training, QA reports, and grant administration.
• Support 5150 holds and facilitate hospital placements when needed.
• Maintain confidential client files per agency, DCFS and HIPAA policies.
