Paving the Way Multi-Service Institute in Washington, DC is seeking a Director of Outpatient Services (Licensed) to lead our Free Standing Mental Health Clinic. This full-time Clinical Administrator will supervise 7–9 clinicians and ensure high-quality psychotherapy, assessment, and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Active independent DC clinical license qualifying the individual as a Chapter 30 Clinical Administrator.
• DC LICSW required to clinically supervise LGSWs providing psychotherapy.
• Master's degree or higher in a relevant clinical field.
• At least three years of behavioral health experience, including direct treatment.
• Demonstrated clinical supervision and program operations experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, documentation, communication, organization, initiative, and follow-through.
• Ability to provide direct, supportive feedback and address performance concerns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinic affairs under DC DBH Chapter 30 as Clinical Administrator.
• Supervise 7–9 clinicians through required individual supervision, case consultation, coaching, and documented feedback.
• Provide evidence-based assessments, treatment planning, and psychotherapy; complete timely documentation and care coordination.
• Review notes and treatment records for clinical quality, medical necessity, and applicable requirements; provide appropriate co-signatures and follow up on corrections.
• Support risk assessment, safety planning, and high-risk consultation, coordinating escalation and backup coverage during sessions and absences.
• Monitor documentation, access, service quality, productivity, and outcomes.
• Support hiring, onboarding, staff development, evaluations, and corrective coaching.
• Coordinate clinic workflows, policies, grievances, audits, reporting, and certification readiness with the psychiatrist, leadership, HR, Quality Assurance, and billing.
