Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Clinic Specialty RN to serve as the primary liaison between specialty physicians and patients. You will assess patient needs, communicate treatment plans, and advise patients of the recommended actions directed by the physician.

The position is hybrid (2 days in clinic, 2 days remote) with 90 days of on-site training before transitioning. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, 32 hours per week, located at Mercy Heart & Vascular Hospital Saint Louis.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current valid state nursing license.
• Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
• Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices.
• Experience: Not required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, assess needs, and advise on recommended actions directed by the physician.
• Serve as the primary liaison between specialty physicians and patients.
• Support patient education and self-care planning.
