Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner for Workers' Compensation in a hybrid California role. You will analyze claims, determine benefits, and adjudicate within client requirements while coordinating with carriers and clients.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in claims management, CA licensing, and strong negotiation and communication skills, with a focus on efficient, accurate settlements and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred; Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Experience: 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Licensing / Jurisdiction Knowledge: CA required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and resolve within service expectations.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and client.
• Reporting claims and responding to directions from the excess carrier in a timely manner.
