Job summary

Sedgwick in California is hiring a Claims Examiner - Workers’ Compensation in a hybrid role. You will analyze claims for clients, determine benefits due, and ensure adjudication aligns with service expectations and client requirements.

You will investigate, negotiate settlements within authority, and communicate updates to claimants and clients, while coordinating with the excess carrier as needed. A high school diploma, 5 years of claims experience, and CA licensing are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• Licensing/Jurisdiction: CA required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and benefits.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity to claimants and clients.
• Report claims to excess carrier and respond to directions professionally.
