Tokio Marine HCC in Encino, CA is seeking a proficient Claims Assistant to support the claims staff by timely entering claims and handling a variety of administrative tasks in the Cyber & Professional Lines Group. The role requires attention to detail, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2-year college degree preferred.
• 2-5 years' experience in the insurance, legal or financial industry.
• Proficient skill level in MS Office.
• Must be detailed oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
• Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills.
• Ability to review and revise correspondence.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience with computer software and database applications supporting Claims in a paperless environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle New Claim Intake/Submissions for multiple Line of Business.
• Ensure claim intake/setup is entered accurately and timely.
• Handle/finalize coverage position letters, including indemnity check payments.
• Prepare Loss Runs for assigned Attorneys.
• Prepare FedEx labels.
• Scan mail and label/print documents into file.
• Set up travel arrangements for Claims Attorneys and enter travel expenses.
• Assist Claims Attorneys with management of litigation and providing documentation.
