Progressive in Iowa is seeking a claims adjuster trainee. You will learn to move a full case load from start to finish with in-depth training on property damage and insurance contracts, primarily over the phone in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid role with in-office days chosen by leadership and flexible remote work, extending through a 12-month development period, after which on-site meetings and training become more frequent. A supportive leadership team will guide your progression.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience or a Bachelor's degree or two years with an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
