Job summary

Progressive invites you to join a claims adjuster trainee program in Granger, IN. This hybrid role blends in-office collaboration with remote work, over a 12-month training period, with coaching from leaders and cross-functional support.

Upon completion, you’ll determine coverage and liability, interview involved parties, and coordinate with appraisers to manage vehicle repairs while negotiating with customers and carriers to settle claims. Salary range is disclosed during training.

Qualifications

• Must have either a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (3 years) or 2 years with an associate degree.
• Strong communication and customer-service abilities are required.
• Ability to interview customers, assess liability, and negotiate settlements with carriers.

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage for claims and liability.
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses to gather facts.
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs.
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers to resolve claims.
