Job summary

Black & Veatch in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Civil Engineer to focus on the delivery of civil site development projects, including grading design, stormwater design, and permitting, with collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams.

You will assist in design through bid and design completion, help manage schedules and budgets, interface with clients or sub-consultants, and support business development with technical approaches and client presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience.
• Strong understanding of civil site development including permitting, grading and storm water design.

Responsibilities

• Design projects from concept through design completion based on client needs.
• Assist Engineering Manager with project schedules and budgets.
• Interface with clients or sub-consultants under manager guidance.
• Support business development through technical proposals and client presentations.
• Communicate effectively with other engineering disciplines and project teams.
