Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE license or EIT progress toward licensure.
• 4+ years civil engineering experience; 5+ preferred.
• 3+ years hands-on AutoCAD Civil 3D experience for design/drafting.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage land development projects across educational, residential, industrial, commercial, medical, and institutional sectors in Michigan.
• Prepare and review civil engineering plans, including site plans, grading plans, drainage plans, and utility layouts.
• Perform civil design tasks using AutoCAD Civil 3D for site design and drafting.
• Develop and refine site layouts for land development projects, ensuring compliance with municipal codes, standards, and regulations.
• Design stormwater management systems to support site development and municipal engineering requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, and construction teams to ensure civil design elements integrate with project objectives.
• Support municipal engineering projects and civil site design efforts, including reports, calculations, and documentation.
• Participate in construction-related activities such as reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs.
• Manage project tasks, schedules, and deliverables to meet client expectations and deadlines.
• Communicate project status and design decisions to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to quality control and QA processes by reviewing drawings and calculations.
• Assist in mentoring junior staff with drafting and basic design tasks.
