Job summary

The Erie County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP) is seeking a Full-Time Paralegal in Buffalo, NY to support the Civil Unit from intake through resolution, assisting with client communication, case preparation, documentation, filing, and other legal and administrative tasks.

This position works in our Buffalo office with a hybrid remote/in-office schedule after the 90-day introductory period and offers notary, health benefits, and loan forgiveness options described in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Paralegal certificate or Associates degree preferred.
• Some related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle case intake, eligibility, and case preparation for civil matters.
• Draft legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
• Assist attorneys with research, filings, and case management.
