Job summary

ECBAVLP, located in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a Full-Time Paralegal for the Civil Unit to support intake through resolution. The role involves client communications, case preparation, and legal documentation in a busy civil practice.

The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work with a team of attorneys. Notary, NYSCEF experience, and a willingness to work a hybrid schedule after a 90-day period are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Paralegal certificate or Associate's degree preferred.
• Some related experience preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct case intake, eligibility screening, and prepare civil matter documentation.
• Draft legal documents and correspondence, including motions and affidavits.
• Research statutes and regulations; provide summaries to attorneys.
• File documents with NYS courts and manage electronic filing (NYSCEF).
• Maintain case notes and records in LegalServer; assist with client communications.
• Provide administrative support to attorneys and supervise paralegals as needed.
• Draft, mail, and manage client communications; manage data entry and records.
