Confidential Employer is a California litigation practice seeking an associate attorney with 1–6 years of experience for a hybrid role in San Diego. You will represent clients in civil litigation and insurance defense, manage cases end-to-end, draft and file legal documents, conduct research, and communicate with clients and opposing counsel.

Qualifications

• 1 to 6 years of associate attorney experience.
• Active California State Bar license in good standing.
• 1+ years of litigation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in civil litigation and insurance defense matters.
• Manage cases through investigation, discovery, evaluation, settlement, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery responses, reports, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and potential exposure to develop effective case strategies.
• Communicate directly with clients, insurance professionals, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Take and defend depositions as experience allows.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and other proceedings.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver responsive, high-quality representation.
