Job summary

ATCS in Newport News, VA, is launching its 2027 Summer Internship Program and seeking motivated Civil Engineering Interns for full-time, hybrid roles to support on-site projects. Interns will assist engineers, prepare design documents with CAD tools, collect and analyze data, and gain exposure to multiple project facets under mentorship.

Qualifications

Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering.
Previous internship experience preferred but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Exposure to AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Microstation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers and engineering staff in various project support roles.
Using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Assist in collecting, preparing, and analyzing data.
Collaborate effectively with team members.
General administrative support is required to drive projects forward.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
