Job summary

ATCS is hiring Civil Engineering Interns for our 2027 Summer Internship Program in Herndon, VA. These full-time, hybrid on-site roles provide mentorship and exposure to real-world projects while you work with experienced staff.

Responsibilities include assisting engineers, preparing design documents with CAD tools, collecting and analyzing data, and collaborating with teams. Candidates pursuing a Civil Engineering BS should apply; internship experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering required or in progress.
• Internship experience preferred but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Exposure to CAD tools (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Microstation) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and staff in project support roles.
• Prepare engineering and design documents with CAD tools.
• Collect, prepare, and analyze data for projects.
• Collaborate effectively with team members on tasks.
• Provide general administrative support to drive projects forward.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.
