Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Chicago team. This hybrid internship offers hands-on experience, with at least 3 days in the office weekly and a preference for 3+ months full-time engagement.

Open to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing civil engineering degrees. Responsibilities include assisting with design from concept to completion, coordinating with architects and engineers, and preparing technical reports and development applications.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university.
• Eligibility for full-time internship and 3+ months preferred.
• Not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project issues.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments for project design.
• Prepare technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Contribute to engineering designs using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards and procedures to projects.
• Assist with preparation of technical proposals and documentation.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support project goals.
