Job summary

Imprivata, based in the Waltham, MA area, seeks a Chief Information Officer to lead enterprise technology, digital transformation, and the modernization of platforms to enable growth and operational excellence.

The CIO will align IT with business strategy, drive AI, data analytics, and automation initiatives, and partner with the CISO to strengthen security, resilience, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, CS, Business Admin, or related field; Master's preferred.
15+ years of progressive enterprise technology leadership; CIO or executive experience preferred.
Experience leading technology in global, scaled software or healthcare tech environments.
Ability to translate business strategy into enterprise architecture and investment portfolios.
Deep knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and data analytics.
Experience with vendor management, contracts, and technology rationalization.
Board-level communication and strong people leadership across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Serve as the senior advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board on technology capabilities and cyber risk.
Translate company strategy into a sequenced technology portfolio with clear business cases.
Lead executive reviews for technology investments and operating health.
Partner with Product, Sales, Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations to optimize the whole company.
