Job summary

University of Washington’s Housing & Food Services seeks a Chief Business & Finance Officer to lead financial health, procurement and Husky Card Services while partnering with IT to align technology and investments with priorities. The CBFO will report to the AVP for Student Life and lead budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and enterprise strategy in a student-centered, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or related field with seven years of financial leadership experience.
• Experience supervising professional and technical staff.
• Demonstrated success in strategic planning, financial forecasting, and analysis.
• Leading cross-functional teams and building relationships with internal/external partners.
• Developing positive organizational culture and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for financial and administrative operations including accounting, budgeting, payroll, procurement, contracts, financial reporting, internal controls, risk management, and Husky Card Services.
• Lead long-range financial planning, forecasting, capital planning and business modeling to support priorities and sustainability.
• Serve as a collaborative member of the Senior Leadership Team across Finance, IT, Husky Card Services and related areas.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team with clear expectations, coaching and succession planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President for Student Life and Executive Director of Housing & Food Services.
