Job summary

Bellwether Housing is seeking a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead its financial functions in Seattle. The CFO will partner with the CEO and Board, guide budgeting, risk management, and strategy, and supervise the finance, IT, and asset management teams across multiple properties.

The role demands strong leadership, deep knowledge of nonprofit finance, and the ability to manage complex real estate portfolios within LIHTC/HUD frameworks.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
• Ten years of senior financial management experience.
• Eight years of broad-based business management experience.
• Experience with fund accounting software.
• Experience with property financial asset management and LIHTC/HUD financing.

Responsibilities

• Advise CEO and Board on finances and assets.
• Staff the Finance and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
• Oversee budgeting, planning, and policy development.
• Oversee treasury, cash flow, and investor relations.
• Oversee asset management and property performance reporting.
• Lead risk management and internal controls across the organization.
