Job summary

Allegiance Healthcare Hospice and Palliative Care is seeking a Chaplain/Bereavement Coordinator to provide emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual support to families before and after a patient’s death. You will assess grief needs, coordinate bereavement services, and document progress in the clinical record.

Qualifications

• Bereavement training under supervision of a qualified professional.
• Spiritual counseling training with a theological degree or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Provide bereavement counseling to families before and after death.
• Assess grief and risk factors; refer families to appropriate services.
• Maintain confidentiality and document services in the clinical record.
• Attend IDT meetings and support hospice staff with spiritual care.
