Job summary

Xcel Energy Inc. is seeking four interns for the Innovation & Transformation Office to support the Change Management Office in Minneapolis, MN and Denver, CO.

The role focuses on change management capability building, stakeholder communications, data analysis, and project readiness in a hybrid environment. Ideal candidates are current students with interests in HR, organizational development, and business transformation, able to commit to full-time summers or part-time school-year schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student (Fall 2027) enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Change Management, Business Administration, Management, Training/Learning & Development, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, or related fields.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (up to 40 hours/week) or part-time during the school year (up to 20 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Support change management activities for projects impacting employees and stakeholders.
• Assist with stakeholder analysis, communications planning, and leader engagement.
• Help organize and analyze data, survey results, and project information to identify themes and risks.
• Contribute to change management capability-building resources and templates.
• Create executive-ready deliverables such as summaries, dashboards, and updates.
