Job summary

The Department of Services for the Blind (DSB) in Washington seeks a Chief Financial & Operations Officer to provide leadership across fiscal, purchasing and procurement, records management, risk, business systems, and facilities for multiple programs.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the CFOO ensures programs align with policy and grants, guides strategic planning, and manages external audits while fostering clear inter‑agency communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration required.
• At least 5+ years of supervisory experience and leadership in fiscal operations.
• Experience with grants management and federal/state fiscal rules.
• Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as operations and fiscal advisor to the Executive Management Team.
• Oversee budgeting, contracting, procurement, and risk management.
• Lead long-range strategic planning and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with federal grant requirements and state regulations.
• Foster cross-agency collaboration and effective internal communications.
