Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a CDN Platform Engineer to own enterprise CDN strategy and delivery in a hybrid SE Michigan environment. You will shape the Multi-CDN architecture, automate provisioning, and partner with app, network, and security teams to raise reliability and efficiency.

The role emphasizes self-service development, IaC, and API management across global CDN platforms, with focus on performance and security compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing enterprise CDN platforms (Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, GCP, or similar).
• Experience configuring, deploying, and managing CDN properties, landing zones, traffic routing, and edge delivery services across providers.
• Strong understanding of DNS, GTM, CNAME chaining, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, TLS/SSL, caching policies, and edge computing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner for enterprise CDN technologies across provider ecosystems.
• Lead the transformation to a modern Multi-CDN architecture and standards.
• Build self-service capabilities within internal developer portals to accelerate onboarding.
