Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Category Manager to build and execute strategies across our retail categories. You will manage assortment, pricing, promotions, and vendor partnerships to maximize sales and margin in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in retail buying or category management, strong vendor negotiation skills, and advanced Excel/PowerPoint proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of retail buying, category management, merchandising, or procurement experience.
• Strong vendor negotiation and supplier relationship management.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite.
• Experience with PDI and retail reporting platforms preferred.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies to drive sales and margins.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, promotions, and merchandising plans.
• Analyze sales, margins, and customer data to identify opportunities.
• Lead vendor negotiations and develop joint business plans.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance.
