Job summary

Marsh Re is seeking a talented analyst to join our Analytics and Advisory team in Philadelphia or New York. This hybrid role requires working at least three days a week in the office and involves managing catastrophe modeling projects from start to finish and contributing to client discussions on reinsurance strategy.

You will enhance region- and peril-specific catastrophe risk expertise, handle data with Data Bricks, MS SQL, Python and R, and build strong relationships with brokers and clients.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of catastrophe modeling experience across insurance segments.
• Strong data management skills with Data Bricks, MS SQL, Python and R.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities for brokers and clients.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail with reinsurance knowledge.
• Curious, proactive, adaptable, and able to lead internal initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage catastrophe modeling projects from start to finish with timely delivery.
• Support client discussions on reinsurance strategy, underwriting and portfolio management.
• Build relationships with brokers, clients and reinsurers and respond to questions promptly.
• Develop expertise in region- and peril-specific catastrophe risk through research and training.
