Job summary

Farm Bureau Financial Services in West Des Moines, IA invites you to join as a Casualty Claims Representative. You will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle liability and bodily injury claims with a strong customer service mindset.

You should have a college degree or 2 years of relevant experience, plus knowledge of tort law and excellent verbal and written communication. A hybrid/onsite environment may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• 2 years Liability or Casualty claims experience preferred.
• AIC/SCLA designation or CPCU designation preferred or in progress.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• PC literate with familiarity of Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR required.
• Limited travel with overnight stays required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle assigned casualty claims.
• Handle liability investigations and bodily injury claims.
• Interpret policies to determine coverage and liability.
• Determine loss value and assist in setting reserves.
• Maintain professional relationships with coworkers, agents, claimants and others.
• Work from 5500 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines office.
