You will balance store bank reconciliations to the general ledger, research reconciling items, and prepare journal entries. Ideal candidates hold an Associates or Bachelor's degree and excel in multitasking and communication.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• Ability to multitask while assessing urgency of outstanding items and prioritizing accordingly.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other general computer functions.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all store bank reconciliations are accurately balanced to the general ledger.
• Research all reconciling items with banks, stores, and Loss Prevention in a timely manner.
• Conduct daily research on outstanding items for all divisions with any contracted vendors.
• Prepare weekly journal entries to adjust reconciling items to their proper accounts.
• Verify monthly bank statements to the general ledger to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the liability and cash accounts.
• Research all outstanding reconciling items by requesting information from banks, stores and armored carriers.
• Record and track all outstanding reconciling items from initial identification through completion.
• Research and request reimbursement for deposit discrepancies.
• Submit weekly journal entries to adjust reconciling items to their proper accounts.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger.
• Special projects as assigned.
