Job summary

Essen Health Care is seeking an Associate Director of the Cardiovascular Division to lead strategic direction, development, and lifecycle management of cardiovascular programs. You will partner with Clinical, Regulatory, Commercial, and Medical affairs teams to ensure scientific integrity and patient focus.

This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, program management, and mentorship of junior staff, with a mix of office-based and hybrid work in New York and travel as needed to advance

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of experience in cardiovascular medicine within pharma, biotech, medical affairs, clinical research, or related fields.
• Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration in a matrix environment.
• Prior leadership or project-management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and execute the cardiovascular division’s short- and long-term strategy.
• Support portfolio planning, indication expansion, and lifecycle management.
• Analyze competitive landscape and emerging trends in cardiovascular medicine.
• Provide subject-matter expertise in cardiovascular disease areas and review clinical protocols.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, and Pharmacovigilance.
• Oversee budgets, timelines, vendors, and SOP development; mentor junior staff.
• Ensure activities adhere to policies, regulations, and ethical standards; support regulatory submissions.
